I am on my third copy of this pocket sized book which is constantly in my handbag and does tend to get rather worn.

This beautifully simplistic book is broken down into 31 brief, themed meditations. Although Anthony De Mello uses references from the New Testament at the start of each chapter this is not a religious publication and one you can enjoy whatever your beliefs.

De Mello explains how the greatest obstacle to love is illusion and guides us on how to let go of suffering, beliefs and attachments with wisdom and insight.

This book will help you let go of the idea that anything outside of yourself can make you happy. I regularly dip in and out of this and it always acts as a gentle reminder, when I need it, of the importance of living in the moment.
